Methanococcus jannaschii

One of our projects focuses on the identification of expressed proteins in Methanococcus jannaschii, a microorganisms that was isolated from a sediment near a thermal vent 2000m deep in the ocean. It lives under extreme conditions (200 atm, 80 - 95 oC).
